Zahra Jalili

Data Scientist at SustainCERT

Zahra Jalili has a diverse work experience starting from 2020. Zahra worked as an Intern at UMCG research, where they conducted research on the relation between Cognitive Reserve and perceptual processing in elderly with mTBI. Zahra also compared EEG signals for elderly individuals after mTBI and healthy elderly while performing a selective attention task to investigate the role of Cognitive Reserve in their performance. In 2021, they served as a Research Assistant at Hanzehogeschool Groningen, where they contributed to research projects. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at BSCS - Dept. of Biomedical Sciences of Cells and Systems @UMCG, where they focused on automatic semantic segmentation of electron microscope (EM) images using deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) and other machine learning algorithms. Zahra also managed data related to EM images. Zahra has recently taken up the role of Data Scientist at Gemeente Groningen, where they apply their expertise in data science. Zahra will soon be joining SustainCERT as a Data Scientist in 2022.

Zahra Jalili began their education in 2014 at Semnan University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science and Engineering (BE) in Computer Software Engineering. This educational journey lasted for a period of four years, concluding in 2018. After completing their undergraduate degree, Zahra went on to further their education at Hanzehogeschool Groningen (Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen) starting in 2019. Zahra pursued a Master's degree in Data Science for Life Sciences. This program lasted for a duration of two years, with Zahra completing their studies in 2021.
