Maria Bruk

Maria Bruk has over two decades of experience in human resources. Maria currently works as the Manager of People and Culture at Sutro Biopharma, where they manage the employee life cycle, HR initiatives, and programs. Prior to this, they worked at Sangamo Therapeutics as a Senior HR Generalist and HR Representative, providing HR services for hundreds of employees. Maria also has experience as an Executive Assistant at Rigel Pharmaceuticals, handling administrative tasks for senior executives. Additionally, Maria has worked as a COBRA Administrator at Johnson & Dugan, ensuring proper administration of benefits, and as a Human Resources Representative at Rigel, providing various HR services. Maria began their career as a Human Resources Coordinator at Aesculap, where they handled HR services and organized company events.

Maria Bruk pursued their education at the University of California, Berkeley from 2020 to 2023. During this time, they obtained a Human Resources Management Certification, specializing in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration. Previously, from 1993 to 1996, Maria attended San Francisco State University where they completed their undergraduate degree in Business Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Maria Bruk has obtained several certifications. In December 2022, they received a Certificate of Human Resources Program Management from the University of California, Berkeley. In June 2017, they obtained a certification as a Human Resources Generalist from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
