Gregory Tranah

Gregory Tranah is a seasoned professional in the fields of biobanking, precision medicine, and genomics. Currently serving as the Scientific Director of Biobanking at Sutter Health since September 2023, Gregory has also held the position of Managing Director at K-T Boundary Consulting since June 2020. With a long-standing affiliation with California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute, serving as Senior Scientist and Scientific Director since 2005, and a professorship in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at UCSF since 2013, Gregory has demonstrated significant expertise in research and leadership. Previously, Gregory led pre-clinical genomic drug discovery projects as VP of Medical Biology at Variant Bio and oversaw strategic planning as Executive Director of Precision Medicine at Sutter Health from April 2018 to December 2021. Gregory's academic background includes a PhD in Ecology from the University of California, Davis, completed in 2001 after a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard School of Public Health.
