Susanne Garber is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in the field of music. Currently serving as the Head of Strings and Director of the Suzuki Program at MSU Community Music School since August 1993, Susanne also coordinates various programs such as the Beginning Strings Camp and Practice Bootcamp. Susanne holds a position as an Adjunct Professor in Music Education, focusing on the string family, and has performed with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra as a Section Violin since 1993. Additionally, Susanne plays violin for the Heartland Klezmorim and the Simcha Party Band and has been a faculty member at Blue Lake Suzuki Family Camp since 1994. Susanne's professional affiliations include membership in the American String Teachers Association and the Suzuki Association of the Americas. With a Doctor of Musical Arts in violin performance from Michigan State University, along with degrees from Florida State University and Boston University, Susanne has taught at several institutions, including Albion College and Jackson Symphony Orchestra's Community Music School.
