Bjørn-Ove Heimsund

Bjørn-Ove Heimsund is an accomplished principal reservoir engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving at Sval Energi since July 2024. Previously, Heimsund held similar positions at Vår Energi from December 2018 to June 2024, focusing on the Åsgard area and strategic projects involving exploration and development. Prior to this, roles at TotalEnergies involved significant contributions in reservoir engineering for deep offshore fields and monitoring plans for international projects. Experience also includes engineering advisory work at Weatherford and research positions at IRIS and the Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research. Bjørn-Ove Heimsund holds a PhD in Reservoir Mechanics and a Master’s in Applied Mathematics from the University of Bergen.
