Dr. Michael Schwenkert

Dr. Michael Schwenkert has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

From 2019 to the present, they have been working at Svar Life Science AB, where they serve as the Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO). In this role, they are responsible for product management, technology management, and innovation. Dr. Michael leads a cross-functional international team and oversees Svar's core areas in drug development, clinical diagnostics, and laboratory services. Dr. Michael also represents the company externally at conferences and conventions.

Prior to their current role, from 2010 to 2019, Dr. Schwenkert worked at Bio-Rad Laboratories. Initially, they served as an Account Manager and later became the Technical Sales Manager. As the Global Manager, they were responsible for a complex life science service and achieved significant annual sales growth.

Before joining Bio-Rad Laboratories, Dr. Schwenkert worked at AbD Serotec MorphoSys AG from 2010 to 2013. Dr. Michael held the positions of Account Manager and Scientist Therapeutic Antibodies during their tenure at the company.

Dr. Schwenkert began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg from 2008 to 2010. Dr. Michael conducted research on the development of novel immunoconjugates for the treatment of acute leukemias.

In addition to their work experience, Dr. Schwenkert has expertise in biopharmaceuticals, immunology, and oncology. Dr. Michael has consulted biotech and pharma companies and represented their companies at clients, conferences, and KOL meetings.

Dr. Michael Schwenkert completed their undergraduate education at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1998 to 2004, earning a degree in Biology. Subsequently, they pursued further studies at the same institution and obtained their PhD ("Dr. rer. nat.") in Life Sciences from 2004 to 2008.
