Harald Hovenkamp Msc

Harald Hovenkamp Msc, MA, is an experienced professional in the hospitality and service management field, currently serving as a part-time docent at Deltion College since February 2023, focusing on restaurant theory and event management. In addition to teaching, Harald is an author of works exploring the role of hospitality in hospital environments, rooted in inductive and ethnographic research conducted in two major Dutch hospitals. As a recognized SVH Meestergastheer, Harald has achieved the highest accolade in hosting, emphasizing excellence in service organization. Previous roles include ownership of the restaurant Kaatje bij de Sluis, chairmanship of the Alliance Gastronomique Regio Noord, and authorship of seminal texts on hospitality.
