Ricardo Mateiro

Mr. Mateiro is a member of the European investment team and an operating partner working across several portfolio companies.

Prior to joining SVPGlobal in 2021, Mr. Mateiro was an Executive Vice President in the London office of the Kuwait Investment Office (KIO), the direct investment arm of the Sovereign Fund of Kuwait. While at KIO, he was a member of the Investment Committee and led strategy and strategic value creation, also serving as a member of various boards. Prior to joining KIO, Mr. Mateiro was a strategy consultant with Bain & Co., where he worked with financial institutions in the UK and throughout Europe, including supporting distressed companies and distressed debt portfolios and delivering value creation plans. Mr. Mateiro also held roles at JPMorgan in investment banking in New York and at Portugal Telecom Group in the Strategic Group in Lisbon.

Mr. Mateiro holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Business and Management degree from Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa.
