Galina Karasoy

Galina Karasoy has a diverse work experience in the field of design and creative management. Galina is currently working as a Product Designer at SVT Robotics since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a UX/UI Designer at Decisions from November 2021 to July 2022. From October 2019 to November 2021, they held the position of Creative Manager at ivWatch, LLC, where they were responsible for developing marketing content design and visual brand identity. Before that, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Trader Interactive from January 2018 to October 2019. Galina also has experience as a Freelance Graphic Designer from May 2014 to October 2019. Galina started their career as a Design Intern at Leesa Sleep in August 2017. Galina also worked as a Graphic Designer at Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries, affiliated with Old Dominion University, from September 2014 to August 2017. Prior to entering the design field, they worked as a Freelance Photographer from January 2011 to December 2016.

Galina Karasoy completed their education at different institutions over the years. Galina obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design from Old Dominion University between 2013 and 2017. Galina then enrolled in a 12-week digital design program at On-Screen and AIGA Hampton Roads in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Samara State Technical University between 2006 and 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Galina Karasoy has obtained several certifications. Galina completed various courses in UX design and related topics from Google, including "Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes," "Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts," "Create High-Fidelity Designs and Prototypes in Figma," "Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design," "Responsive Web Design in Adobe XD," and "Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate," all in December 2022. Galina also completed certifications in "Designing for Accessibility" (November 2021) and "CSS for Designers" (August 2021) through Uxcel.

Furthermore, Galina Karasoy has obtained certifications in various design-related subjects from Uxcel, including "UX Research" (December 2022), "Wireframing" (December 2022), "Mobile Design" (August 2022), "Design Composition" (May 2022), and "Typography" (May 2022). Additionally, they completed certifications in "Intro to UI Components," "UI Components Best Practices," and "UI Design Patterns" in June 2021. Galina also holds "The Webflow Masterclass Certificate" from Flux Academy, obtained in January 2021. Moreover, Galina Karasoy was recognized as an ADAA 2017 Semifinalist by AdobeEDU in June 2017.
