Dave Baiocchi

Dave Baiocchi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic consulting, research, and academic leadership. As the owner of Spark & Compass since April 2024, Dave has advised clients in various sectors, including education and healthcare, focusing on innovation and implementation strategies. In addition to this role, Dave serves as an External Board Member for SWA Group, a Trustee at the High Desert Museum, and an Executive Board Member for East Cascades Works. Dave has been an Adjunct Senior Researcher at RAND Corporation since October 2008, contributing to complex global issue solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration. With a strong academic background, holding a PhD and MS in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona, Dave also has experience as a Professor at the RAND School of Public Policy and previously led the RAND Summer Associate Program. Prior roles include founding Imaginative Futures, where innovative research and design initiatives were developed, and working at Sandia National Laboratories, where technical solutions for national security challenges were devised.
