Janet Ogden

Janet Ogden brings more than 25 years of combined experience in drug discovery, translational research & medicine, clinical development, and integrated global program leadership in biotech and pharma focused primarily on oncology and gene therapy. She also has extensive leadership experience in implementing change management initiatives to support the betterment of R&D.

In her previous roles, Janet joined EMD Serono to become the Head of Oncology Translational Research and in 2012, became Sr Director, Global Development Program Leader for a large oncology clinical development program which included a joint development partnership with Sanofi. In early 2015, Janet joined Baxalta as a Sr Director, Global Development Program Leader responsible for a late-stage oncology development program run in collaboration with CTI Biopharma.

Based on her experiences as a cross-functional global program leader, in working with alliance partners and with implementing change management initiatives within R&D, Janet co-founded SYNOV Solutions in 2016, a boutique consulting group that partners with pharmaceutical and rapidly growing biotech companies to create high performing drug development teams and organizations, ultimately leading to faster access to medicines for patients in need.

Janet received a PhD in Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and BS in Biochemistry from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Following her post-doctoral fellowship at the Upjohn Company, she joined Berlex Biosciences in 1996 to become a Senior Research Scientist, managing and leading cardiovascular and oncology drug discovery programs.
