Environmental Planner/senior Project Manager at SWCA

Coleman Burnett, AICP has had a diverse work experience in the environmental and planning field. Coleman started their career at the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission as a Water Resource Specialist in 2005. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as the Development and Evaluation Director at Rocky Mountain Youth Corps. Coleman then joined SWCA Environmental Consultants as a Natural Resources Planner from 2009 to 2012. Following that, they worked at the New Mexico Department of Transportation as a NEPA Planner/Environmental Specialist from 2012 to 2014. Currently, they hold the position of Environmental Planner/Senior Project Manager at SWCA Environmental Consultants, where they manage National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) related projects for private clients and Federal agencies.

Coleman Burnett, AICP holds a Masters in Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. During this time, they were enrolled in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a BS in Environmental Sciences. In November 2013, Coleman obtained the Certified Planner (AICP) certification from the American Planning Association.
