Jessana Goldsnider

Assistant Project Biologist at SWCA

Jessana Goldsnider has a diverse background in environmental and sustainability work. Jessana began their career in 2015 with an internship as the Campaign Coordinator of the Clean Water Campaign at PIRG Campus Action. Following this, they held roles as a Solar Marketing Specialist at Sungevity and as a Team Lead Outreach Representative at Next Step Living, where they focused on residential solar power and outreach for sustainable home measures.

In 2016, Goldsnider worked as a Waste Management SBS Intern at Waste Management and as a Smoky Mountain Corps Crew Member with the Student Conservation Association, where they participated in various environmental projects including wetland restoration, invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, and sustainable agriculture initiatives.

Goldsnider then worked as a Seasonal Assistant at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and as a Greenhouse Associate at Garden Barn Nursery and Landscape in 2016.

From 2017 to 2019, Goldsnider joined Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. in roles ranging from Development Associate to Development Manager and finally as a Permit Specialist.

Their most recent position, starting in 2019, is as an Assistant Project Biologist at SWCA Environmental Consultants. In this role, they have assisted with wetland monitoring, vegetation assessments, bat surveys, and invasive and native vegetation inventory assessments throughout New England.

Jessana Goldsnider completed their undergraduate education from 2014 to 2016 at the University of Connecticut. Jessana earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies during this time. Prior to attending the University of Connecticut, Jessana studied at Eastern Connecticut State University from 2012 to 2014. At that time, they were still undecided about their major and was in the undergraduate studies program.

In addition to their formal education, Jessana also obtained additional certifications. In December 2018, they became a Notary Public through the Secretary of State - Connecticut. Furthermore, in March 2017, Jessana obtained a First Aid-CPR-AED certification from the American Red Cross.
