Jessica Brinton-McBean (Henderson-McBean)

Jessica Brinton-McBean (Henderson-McBean) has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of biology and environmental science. Jessica started their career as a Data Collector for the University of California at Davis Graduate Student group, where they assisted in data collection and plant care. Jessica then worked as a Physical Therapy Aide at San Luis Sports Therapy.

In 2009, Jessica volunteered at California State Parks, assisting in Snowy Plover Surveys. Jessica also volunteered at California Raptor Center, where they handled and cared for injured birds of prey.

In 2011, Jessica worked as a Technical Environmental Assistant at the State Water Resources Control Board, California Environmental Protection Agency. Jessica'sresponsibilities included reviewing CEQA documents, writing a Desk Manual, and providing training information to new employees.

Jessica gained further experience as a Laboratory Assistant III at the Plant Pathology Department, UC Davis. Jessica also worked as a Wild Naturalist Intern at Wild Campus, where they trapped and relocated ground squirrels for the construction of burrows for burrowing owls.

Continuing their career in the field of biology, Jessica became a Lead Biologist at Althouse and Meade, Inc. Jessica then transitioned to a Biologist role at WRA, Inc., where they worked until 2017.

Since 2015, Jessica has been working as a Senior Biologist/Project Manager at SWCA Environmental Consultants.

Jessica Brinton-McBean (Henderson-McBean) completed their high school education at Paso Robles High School from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they attended the University of California, Davis from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology.
