Luis Aguilar

Wetland Scientist/natural Resources Project Manager at SWCA

Luis Aguilar has a diverse work experience in various environmental and research roles. Luis started their career as a Research Assistant at the UCLA Institute for Social Science Research in 2008 and later worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the UCLA Institute of the Environment in 2010. In 2009, they joined the National Park Service as a Cartographic Technician. In 2016, they joined Environmental Intelligence, LLC as a Biologist, where they gained expertise in botany and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Since 2018, Luis has been working at SWCA Environmental Consultants, first as a Wetland Delineator/Botanist and currently as a Wetland Scientist/Natural Resources Project Manager.

Luis Aguilar completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography and Geographic Information Systems and Technologies from UCLA, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Luis continued their academic journey by pursuing a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Geography/GIS at California State University, Northridge, specializing in Geographic Information Science and Cartography. Luis attended this program from 2012 to 2015.
