Maggie Rouin

Assistant Project Environmental Scientist at SWCA

Maggie Rouin has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Maggie began their career as an Acting Manager at Titan Pool Services Inc., where they were responsible for facilitating pool operations and maintaining safety. Maggie then served as a Governmental Affairs Intern at the Nuclear Energy Institute, attending congressional hearings and assisting with office tasks.

Maggie also interned at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Office of Compliance, where they tracked and analyzed data for compliance monitoring reports and organized training documents.

At Penn State University, Maggie held multiple roles. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, they scanned and organized plant roots for a study on stress tolerance mechanisms. Maggie also interned at the Agriculture and Environment Center, where they analyzed GIS mapping data and conducted site assessments for best management practices implementation. In addition, they interned at the Sustainable Ag, Food, and Environmental Science (SAFES) Institute, analyzing water quality and conducting stakeholder education workshops.

Most recently, Maggie worked at CMS Environmental Solutions as an Environmental Analyst. In this role, they inspected erosion and sediment control measures at construction projects, wrote reports, and updated project site maps.

Currently, Maggie is employed as a Staff Environmental Scientist at SWCA Environmental Consultants. Due to the chronological order of the information, there is no end date provided for this position.

Maggie Rouin attended Penn State University from 2017 to 2021 where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resource Management.
