Device Project Lead at Swedish Orphan Biovitrum

Julien Bouis has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Julien began their career as a Manufacturing Intern at High Technology Manufacturing, where they gained valuable experience in the orthopedic implants and toolsets industry. Julien then moved on to McGill University, where they worked as a Lab Intern, conducting research on pre-osteoblastic cells. Following this, they joined Minitubes as a Process Improvement Intern, where they focused on reducing costs and improving the manufacturing process of specialized metal tubes. Julien then took on the role of Trainer at home, providing academic support to students in subjects such as Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.

In 2012, Julien joined BD as an R&D Engineer, specializing in pre-fillable syringes and shielding systems. Over the course of three and a half years, they grew from a beginner level to a subject matter expert, contributing to global product development projects. After this, Julien transitioned to agap2 Switzerland as a Medical Devices Consultant, utilizing their R&D engineering skills to solve technical issues and contribute to product lifecycle management.

In 2016, Julien joined Novartis as a Technical Steward, where they had global oversight for medical devices and drug-device combinations transferred from development to commercial operations. Julien was responsible for DMR and DHF transfers, as well as post-market surveillance and life-cycle management. Additionally, Julien managed a team of associates based in Hyderabad, India.

Currently, Julien works as a Device Project Lead at Sobi - Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ).

Julien Bouis completed their education with a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Sciences des matériaux from Polytech Grenoble in the years 2008-2011. Prior to that, they obtained their Baccalauréat in Scientifique from lycée Edgar Quinet in the years 2002-2005. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained various certifications in subjects such as Microsoft Power Apps, Python programming, and data visualization with Tableau from institutions like LinkedIn and Coursera, between the years 2020-2021.
