John Nguyen

John Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. John began their career as an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer at Bechtel in 2007. John then worked as a Mechanical Engineer and Turnover Coordinator at Bechtel, where they compiled and maintained mechanical workpacks, prepared material requisitions, and inspected vendor items. After that, they joined Forge Group Ltd as a Mechanical Engineer and Field Mechanical Engineer.

In 2012, John joined Lycopodium as a Graduate Process Controls Engineer and later served as a Process Controls Engineer (Commissioning). John then worked at Improvement Resources Pty Ltd as a Senior Control Systems Engineer. At The Frontier Group, they worked as an Analyst Developer, where they built supply chain analytics and emergency department dashboards and developed a responsive survey chatbot.

From 2016 to 2021, John worked at Ninja Software as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they were responsible for designing and implementing scalable and loosely-coupled services. John managed technical teams, made company-wide technical decisions, and handled deployments and reliability engineering on AWS.

John then founded Ninja Syndicate in 2021, where they served as the Technical Founder. John managed the product and direction of XSYN, a developer platform for third-party web3 game developers, and Supremacy, a multi-game and metaverse platform. John wrote smart contracts for Supremacy, designed and implemented token bridges, and developed the strategy and roadmap for the platform.

Currently, John works at Swell Labs as a Senior Backend Engineer.

John Nguyen earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics) from The University of Western Australia, where they attended from 2005 to 2008. In 2015, they obtained a certification as an SP100KA Spotfire Author from TIBCO Software Inc.
