George Johnston

George Johnston has a diverse work experience starting in 2013 when they founded Tech City Ventures. In 2016, they co-founded three different organizations: swiftscale, Nitrous, and TechDotX. These organizations aimed to support scaleups, solve civic challenges through data-centric solutions, and assist cities in engaging their tech ecosystems. In 2017, George became an investor at Grind, and in 2019, they held the position of Chair of the Higher Level Skills Advisory Board at the Greater London Authority. In 2021, George co-founded Fig Finance and became the Head of GLOS at Kobo360 in 2022. Additionally, they became an investor at what3words and Bolt in 2022.
