Kewen Liao

Kewen Liao is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in data analytics and machine learning, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Deakin University since December 2024. Liao has held various roles, including Senior Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology and Associate Professor at Australian Catholic University, focusing on research innovation and educational leadership in data science and machine learning. Former engagements include teaching and coordinating courses at Charles Darwin University, conducting postdoctoral research at The University of Melbourne, and resolving computer vision challenges at CISRA. Kewen Liao holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Adelaide and has earned multiple bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from the University of Adelaide and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
