Julian Roche

Julian Roche is an accomplished academic and economist with extensive experience in real estate, agribusiness, and risk management. Currently serving as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, Adjunct Senior Lecturer, and Adjunct Lecturer at The University of Western Australia since May 2013, Julian's role is informed by a strong background in commodities and agribusiness developed during previous tenures, including Vice-President at UNCTAD from 1998 to 2010 and various roles in the real estate sector. As Chief Economist at Cavendish Maxwell since January 2019, Julian leverages expertise to contribute to the firm’s standing in the UAE market. Additionally, as the owner of RAP Training, Julian focuses on providing education in real estate, agribusiness, and infrastructure finance. Julian's impressive academic background includes multiple doctoral degrees, with ongoing research at Curtin University, complemented by studies at prestigious institutions such as The University of Edinburgh and the University of Oxford.
