Dana Ross

Dana Ross has a strong background in software engineering and management. Dana is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Swing Education. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Software Engineering Manager at Grindr, where they led the creation and launch of Grindr Web and hired five engineers. Before that, Dana was the Software Development Manager at Chewy, where they delivered Chewy's first customer-facing Autoship improvement in ten years and worked on improving diversity in engineering candidates. Dana also has experience as an Engineering Manager at Wirecutter, a Director of Engineering at 10up, a Sole Proprietor working as a freelance Drupal and WordPress developer, a Lead Developer at Straight North, a Lead Developer at Xeno Media, and a Software Developer at Driveitaway and FTD Companies. Throughout their career, Dana has demonstrated strong leadership and technical skills, managing teams, implementing scalable solutions, and collaborating with clients.

Dana Ross has a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University, obtained by 2020. They also hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science, obtained from Roosevelt University between 2003 and 2005. Additionally, Dana has obtained several certifications including Certified interviewer from HIRE AUTHORITY, Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) from IAAP, and Scrum Master Accredited Certification™ from the International Scrum Institute™, obtained in 2023, 2017, and 2014 respectively.
