Elana Freeman

Elana Freeman has a diverse range of work experience. Elana is currently working at Swing Education, where they started as a New Market & Compliance Manager in February 2019. Elana then became a Legal & Compliance Counsel in May 2021, and eventually took on the role of Head of Legal Compliance in January 2024.

Alongside their role at Swing Education, Elana founded Wellness with Elana in March 2022.

Prior to their current positions, Elana worked as an Attorney at Levine Lee LLP from September 2016 to October 2018. Elana also gained legal experience through internships at CBS Corporation, Sony Music Entertainment, Ladas & Parry LLP, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the New York City Law Department, Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C., and the Legal Aid Society of San Diego.

Throughout their career, Elana has developed skills in legal compliance, intellectual property law, litigation, contract negotiation, risk management, research, and oral advocacy.

Elana Freeman obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.), cum laude degree from Cardozo School of Law in 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies at Occidental College from 2008 to 2012. In 2010, Elana also studied Foreign Policy at the University of Oxford, and in 2011, they pursued Philosophy and History at the University of Wollongong. Elana completed their high school education at Torrey Pines High School from 2004 to 2008.
