Capt. Ashwin Balachandar

Capt. Ashwin Balachandar has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Capt. Ashwin started their career at Anglo-Eastern as a Chief Officer before being promoted to Master Mariner. Capt. Ashwin then joined Emirates Shipping Line as a Vessel Planning Manager and later became the Regional Operations Manager. Most recently, they worked at Swire Shipping as the Head of Vessel Planning and currently serves as the Global Head of Liner Operations. In their roles, they have focused on optimizing costs, maintaining schedule reliability, and driving continuous improvement in on-time performance.

Capt. Ashwin Balachandar attended the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Diploma in Nautical Sciences.
