Francesco Moncada

Francesco Moncada is a mechanical engineer who has gained extensive experience in various roles over the years. Francesco'smost recent position is as a Mechanical Engineer at Swiss Airtainer SA, where they began in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer R&D at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne from September 2021 to January 2022.

Before that, Francesco worked as a Mechanical Engineer R&D at CompPair Technologies Ltd. from April 2021 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for tasks such as composite materials conception and production, material properties characterization, material tests development, and mechanical properties elaboration of components for client applications.

Francesco also has experience as a Project Manager at F. Bernasconi & Cie SA from September 2019 to December 2020 and at Steiner AG from February 2019 to July 2019. Francesco has also worked as a Structural Designer at the University of Technology Sydney from June 2018 to August 2018.

Additionally, Francesco has participated in international volunteer work with Workaway in July 2017, where they spent a month with a Canadian family. During this time, they focused on improving their English language skills, learning about another culture, and assisting with various projects.

Francesco's work experience also includes a manual work internship at CIEL ASCENSEURS in July 2014. This internship aimed to provide insight into manual labor and the challenges associated with it for engineering students.

Francesco Moncada pursued their education in the field of Mechanical and Material Engineering. From 2013 to 2019, they attended INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, where they obtained an MSc degree. During their time at INSA Lyon, they also took the Spanish test and achieved a B2 level in January 2017. In March 2018, Francesco successfully completed the IELTS test at the British Council and obtained a B2 level. From 2018 to 2019, they furthered their studies at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), earning another MSc degree in Mechanical and Material Engineering. Additionally, they obtained a C2 level in the TCF test in April 2016 from the Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP).
