Director Corporate Procurement Strategic Sourcing Energy at Swiss Steel Group

Olaf Haehnel has extensive experience in procurement and energy management. Olaf started their career in 1996 as the Manager of Energy and Environmental Affairs at Ball Packaging, where they worked for 14 years. In 2010, they joined Johnson Controls as the Procurement Manager for Energy in EMEA & Asia, responsible for energy management in nearly 200 production facilities. Olaf then became the Director of Global Energy Procurement, overseeing energy procurement, rate analysis, energy efficiency initiatives, and risk management. In 2017, they joined Adient Ltd. & Co KG as the Lead of Global Energy Procurement. Olaf later moved to Röchling Automotive as the Director of Indirect Procurement Global, where they worked until 2023. Currently, they serve as the Director of Corporate Procurement Strategic Sourcing Energy at Swiss Steel Group.

Olaf Haehnel holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from Ruhr University Bochum. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) - MENA in 2017.
