André Brettschneider

André Brettschneider has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. André currently works at Swissgrid AG, where they hold the position of Head of Business Continuity Management since September 2022. André previously served as the Senior Training Manager from January 2021 to September 2022 and as a Training Manager from February 2019 to December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Portfolio Manager and Application Owner of Project Tools from October 2017 to January 2019, and as an ICT Project Management Officer and Application Owner of Project Server from August 2016 to October 2017.

Before joining Swissgrid AG, André served in the Bundeswehr Wir. Dienen. Deutschland. from 2004 to 2016. André held various positions, including Captain of Military Intelligence in Strasbourg, where they managed a Multi-Source Intelligence Cell and supervised staff activities. André also served as a First Lieutenant of Military Intelligence in Lüneburg, where they led an integrated command post and was responsible for reconnaissance and military intelligence. André started their military career as a Lieutenant Officer and Platoon Leader in the 1. Panzerdivision.

André Brettschneider began their professional journey with an internship at SEB EDV & Kommunikation in 2001.

André Brettschneider has an extensive education history. André obtained their Abitur with a focus on mathematics and physics from Ernst-Barlach-Gymnasium in Schönberg in 2004. Following that, from 2004 to 2007, they attended the Officer's Course at Offizierschule des Heeres (OSH) in Dresden and became an officer.

In 2007, André Brettschneider began their undergraduate studies at Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Macroeconomics and Political Economy. André continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in the same field from 2007 to 2011.

After a break in their formal education, André Brettschneider pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in IT-Governance, Risk and Compliance Management from Albstadt-Sigmaringen University. André enrolled in this program from 2014 to 2017.

In 2021, André Brettschneider attended the University of St.Gallen for a program called "Fit for Excellence in Leadership," focusing on leadership skills.

Additionally, throughout their career, André Brettschneider has obtained several certifications. Notable certifications include Ersthelfer Stufe 1 IVR from NotfallTraining Schweiz GmbH in April 2021, ITIL® 4 Foundation (Upgrade v3 Expert) from PeopleCert in April 2019, and Articulate 360 EXPERT Training from Yukon Training, Inc in July 2018.
