Jan Schenk

Jan Schenk has extensive work experience in various roles within the Swissgrid AG, starting in 2012. They began as a Communications Manager and later became the Head of Project Communication, a role they currently hold. Prior to joining Swissgrid AG, they worked for the Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft, where they were involved in various tasks related to political rights. Additionally, they worked in the Sektion Strategie und Controlling in Kanton Aargau in 2009 and in the Sektion Planung und Strategie in the Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft in 2008, where they served as a Referent für Bundesratsgeschäfte.

Jan Schenk has a diverse education history. In 2009, they enrolled at the University of Lausanne - UNIL and completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Public Management in 2011. Following this, in 2018-2019, Jan attended MAZ-Die Schweizer Journalistenschule, where they obtained a CAS Medienkommunikation & Auftrittskompetenz degree, focusing on Communication and Media Studies. In 2017-2020, they pursued higher education at HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich and earned a Master of Advanced Studies degree in Business/Corporate Communications. Prior to that, Jan studied at the University of Zurich from 2005 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politikwissenschaft. Additionally, Jan also took several continuing education courses in Communication and Media Studies at HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich in 2017 and 2018, completing certificates in CAS Unternehmensführung, CAS Strategisches Kommunikationsmanagement, and CAS Corporate Communications respectively.
