Barathan'smost recent position was as a Customer Success Manager (APAC) at Swrve (a MessageGears company) starting in January 2022. Prior to this, Barathan held various roles at SGeBIZ. Barathan served as the General Manager - Customer Success from November 2020 to December 2021, where their responsibilities included maximizing company and customer value, developing customer relationships, and providing input for product and service improvements. Barathan also served as the Head of Customer Success from April 2020 to November 2020 and as the Head of Operations from October 2018 to April 2020. In these roles, they focused on customer onboarding, relationship-building, and implementing company solutions effectively.

Before joining SGeBIZ, Barathan worked at United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) as a Customer Service Officer from May 2012 to December 2012. Barathan received positive feedback from customers during their tenure at UOB.

Barathan S began their education in 2011 at the Singapore Institute of Management, where they obtained a Diploma in Management Studies specializing in Business Management. From 2015 to 2016, they attended RMIT University, pursuing a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy with a focus on Accounting.

In terms of additional certifications, Barathan S obtained the following certifications: "Account Management: Maintaining Relationships", "Communicating with Charisma", and "Customer Success Management Fundamentals" from LinkedIn in February 2022. Barathan also achieved the "Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 1" certification from SuccessHACKER in January 2023.
