Omar Essam has a diverse range of work experience. omar started their career at IDIC drilling chemicals in 2011, where they worked as a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for handling maintenance issues, planning maintenance schedules, and implementing a spare parts table for preventive maintenance.

In 2012, they joined UFLEX Group, initially as an Engineering Officer before being promoted to Executive Officer. Their responsibilities included overseeing day-to-day production activities, executing production plans, coaching the production team, and collaborating with other departments to meet delivery requirements.

In 2019, Omar moved to Teknoleet as a Penetration Tester. During their time there, they developed an antivirus-evasion/attack framework using Python, Assembly, and C. omar also wrote custom shellcode for the framework and had the ability to bypass various professional antivirus products.

Most recently, Omar joined Swtch in 2021 as a Security Engineer. In this role, they conduct periodic audits to identify security violations and inefficiencies.
