Kat Schaefer

Kat Schaefer's work experience includes working at SXSW, where they started as a Department Coordinator in August 2014 and then became a Senior Production Manager in July 2016. Kat is currently serving as the Production Director for SXSW EDU since January 2022. Previously, they worked as a Licensed Assistant at Realty Austin from December 2013 to August 2014. Prior to that, they were an Operations Manager at High Beam Events from January 2012 to November 2013.

Kat Schaefer obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Public Relations from Concordia University Texas, which they attended from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2020. Prior to that, they earned the Fundamentals of Successful Project Management certification from SkillPath in June 2018 and the Leadership Development & Team Building certification from SkillPath in April 2016.
