Sheri Furley

Sheri Furley has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Sheri began their career as a Finance Operations Manager at JMJ Consulting Associates from 1997 to 1999. Sheri then worked at FundsXpress as an Assistant Controller/Corporate Accounting Manager from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003, Sheri served as an Interim Controller as a Consultant. Sheri then joined Hoovers Inc. as an Acting Controller/Manager of Financial Reporting from 2003 to 2007. Following that, they worked at Renewable Energy Systems, Inc. as an ERP System Implementation Manager in 2007-2008. Sheri then served as a Controller at Bridgepoint Consulting from 2008 to 2012. Sheri held the position of Director of Accounting at Bazaarvoice from 2012 to 2015. Sheri then joined Spredfast as a Controller and Consultant for a few months in 2015, and subsequently became the Controller at SXSW from 2015 to 2019. Starting from May 2019, Sheri assumed the role of CFO at SXSW.

Sheri Furley obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Texas at Austin from 1992 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in March 2000.
