Linda Yap

Linda Yap has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Linda started their career at Strateq in 1997 as an Application Support specialist, where they were responsible for software development, testing, support, and training. Linda then moved on to REDtone in 2000, where they worked as a Project Manager/Consultant. In 2002, they joined RHB Bank as an Application Specialist. Later that year, they became a Project Manager at Cilix Corporation Sdn Bhd, where they stayed until 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they worked at 3i Infotech as a Manager - Client Services, where they managed customer relationships and project deployment. Linda then joined Takaful Malaysia in 2008, where they held various roles, including Assistant General Manager Information Technology and Head of Applications. Linda remains in this position as of 2023.

Linda Yap has a diverse education history. Linda obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Federation University Australia, which they completed from 2011 to 2014. Prior to their Master's degree, Linda received a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Campbell University, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Before that, they earned a Diploma in Science from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARC), studying from 1992 to 1997. Additionally, Linda completed a Certificate in Computer Studies from Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman in 1992.

In terms of certifications, Linda has obtained several additional qualifications. Linda received a CMII certification from The Malaysian Insurance Institute in January 2017. In November 2014, they obtained a Certificate in TESOL from the TESOL International Association. Prior to that, Linda earned a Prince2 Practitioner certification from The APM Group, the Official Accreditor of the UK Cabinet Office, in February 2012. Furthermore, in October 2009, they became certified in ITIL v3 Foundation through the ITIL Certification Management Board (ICMB).
