Jacob Elkin

Jacob Elkin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jacob is currently the Director of Engineering at SyBridge Technologies, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Fast Radius from October 2021 to March 2023, first as the Director of Digital Manufacturing Solutions and then as the Director of Strategy & Operations. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and executing advanced manufacturing and supply chain solutions, as well as driving the holistic product management of Fast Radius' digital manufacturing service platform.

Before joining Fast Radius, Jacob worked at McKinsey & Company from February 2016 to October 2021. Jacob held various roles during their tenure, including Expert/Engagement Manager - Product Development & Procurement, Manager of the Chicago Design Lab, Senior Operations Analyst - Product Development, and Operations Analyst - Product Development. In these positions, they led client engagements, managed teams of engineers and data scientists, and focused on improving product and portfolio performance through data-driven strategies.

Prior to McKinsey, Jacob worked as a Product Development Engineer at Adecco Engineering & Technology from May 2014 to February 2016. In this role, they were responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing new products and processes. Jacob also implemented design principles to improve existing products.

Before entering the engineering field, Jacob worked as an Environmental Lab Specialist at Purdue University from May 2012 to May 2014, where they consulted on projects involving hazardous materials and managed radioactive materials. Jacob also worked as a Real-Time Operations Analyst at Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) from March 2013 to August 2013, where they developed tools and pricing maps for managing electrical systems.

Additionally, Jacob has experience in the renewable energy sector, having worked as a Solar Installer at Green Alternatives Inc. in 2010. In this role, they were responsible for the installation and assembly of solar/photovoltaic systems.

Jacob Elkin received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University, which they attended from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Excel Essential Training (Office 365/Microsoft 365), Project Management Foundations: Procurement, Six Sigma Foundations, and Engineer in Training (EIT) from LinkedIn and the NCEES in September 2021 and August 2014, respectively.
