Kalin Pather

Kalin Pather has a range of work experiences starting with a role as a Student Intern at Microsoft in 2018. They then worked as a Vacation Student at Absolute Systems (Pty) Limited and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in the same year. In 2019, they were a student at The School of Etiquette. In 2020, they joined IEEE as a Member and also started working at Sybrin as a Graduate Software Developer. They then progressed to the role of Machine Learning Engineer at Sybrin and currently hold the position of Machine Learning Team Lead.

Kalin Pather completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Pretoria from 2015 to 2019. In 2021, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from GIBS Business School. Prior to university, Kalin attended Crawford International from 2010 to 2014, although the degree and field of study are unspecified. They have also obtained various certifications in topics related to MLOps, DevOps, and machine learning from institutions such as Duke University, Coursera, and LinkedIn, with the most recent certifications obtained in 2023.
