Matt Stephanou, CFA

Matt Stephanou began their work experience in 2010 as a Software Engineer/Analyst at Absa, where they worked until 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Consultant at Excelian | Luxoft Financial Services. In 2015, they co-founded Informity (Pty) Ltd and served as Co-Founder until 2016. In the same year, they started working as a Principal at Concatenate Capital until 2017. From 2016 to the present, they have been a Co-Founder of Syft Analytics. Additionally, from 2017 to 2020, they worked as the Head of Engineering at Kopano.ai.

Matt Stephanou, CFA, obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Advanced Mathematics of Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computational and Applied Mathematics from the same university between 2006 and 2008. In addition to their formal education, Matt has also earned several certifications including being a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute in September 2014, a Syft Certified Advisor from Syft Analytics in April 2020, and they are currently pursuing a Stripe Certified Associate Architect certification from Stripe, which is scheduled to be completed in May 2023.
