Stephen Powell

Stephen Powell is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Syght. Before that, Stephen gained extensive experience at Seagate Technology, first as a Staff Engineer, then as a Senior Engineer, and later as an Engineer 2, all focused on Head/Media Electrical tasks. Stephen also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where Stephen focused on Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) for next-generation hard drives. Additionally, Stephen participated in research internships at the Naval Research Laboratory and North Carolina State University. Stephen holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from North Carolina State University.
