Magdalena Adamczyk has a range of work experience in the scientific field. Magdalena started their career as a Master's research project in the Department of Glycoconjugate Biochemistry at Jagiellonian University, where they worked from September 2007 to June 2009. Magdalena then moved on to a research project at CIC bioGUNE under the Leonardo da Vinci program, focusing on Cell Biology and Cancer Cell Stem Unit, from July 2007 to September 2007. Magdalena also had a research project at the University of Antwerp under the ERASMUS program, in the Laboratory of Molecular Biotechnology from February 2008 to June 2008.

Magdalena then pursued a PhD at Cardiff University in the Arthritis Research UK Biomechanics and Bioengineering Centre, where they described a novel signaling pathway regulating transglutaminase 2 release from cells. This project was funded by the Arthritis Research UK Biomechanics and Bioengineering Centre of Excellence. Magdalena worked as a PhD student from October 2009 to September 2013. Following their PhD, they worked as a Research Assistant at Cardiff University from October 2013 to December 2013.
