Duncan Frayne is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and microfinance. Currently serving as the Regional Director for Africa at Symbiotics since March 2015, Duncan leads a team focused on identifying and evaluating investment opportunities across the African continent. Previously, as Vice President and General Manager at Accion, Duncan spearheaded the organization's global expansion in China and fostered strategic partnerships. Duncan's career also includes roles such as Chief Operations Officer at Uganda Microfinance Limited, Transformation Project Manager at FINCA International, and various management positions at Standard Bank of South Africa, Saambou Bank, and Mercantile Professional Bank. Duncan holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University and has completed executive education in microfinance at Harvard Business School.
