Syed Jafri has a strong work experience in various roles in the technology industry. From 2022 onwards, they are the Director of Engineering at Shooter Detection Systems, where they lead cross-functional teams and collaborates with other departments to develop product strategies. Prior to that, from 2017, they served as the Manager of Firmware Engineering at Symbotic, where they managed a team developing access systems for warehouse automation.

From 2014 to 2017, Syed worked at Dell Technologies as a Storage Development Principal Engineer, focusing on the design and improvement of system administration subsystems. Syed also worked as a Principal Firmware Engineer at A123 Systems in 2014-2015, designing protocols for battery communication.

Earlier in their career, Syed held various roles, including Lead Software Engineer at iRobot from 2009 to 2014, where they led development teams and coordinated with cross-functional teams throughout product lifecycles. Syed also worked at Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Millennial Net, Cymer, and Alcatel-Lucent, contributing to software development, porting, and implementation projects in different capacities.
