Peter Barker

Peter Barker has worked in the software development field since 2007. From 2007 to 2015, they worked as a Web Developer for a variety of companies, using technologies such as PHP, MySQL, MSSQL, CakePHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Ruby Gems, Java, LAMP and Windows Server Administration. Peter also worked with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery. In 2015, they became a Senior Software Developer at PEMCO World Air Services, where they were responsible for creating cross-platform, cross-device apps for desktops, tablets and phones. The core technologies used included PHP, Laravel5, Angular JS, Oracle, NGINX, MySQL, and AWS. In 2017, they became a Senior Software Developer at Nicopure Labs, working with Magento CE, Git, Github, PHP, Apache and NGINX. In 2018, they became the Director of Software Development at Symphonic Distribution, where they were responsible for hands-on Agile and Dev/Ops while managing a team of developers and QA. The technology and best practices included AWS (S3, EC2, CodeBuild, MySQL), Azure Devops (Kanban, Build/Deploy, VM, MSSQL), code reviews, stand ups, Cypress automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Snowflake data warehouses.

Peter Barker obtained IT Certifications from Tech Sherpas between 2002 and 2003. Peter also attended St. Petersburg College from 1987 to 1989.
