Martha Byrne

Martha Byrne has diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry. Martha currently holds the position of VP Clinical QA at Synairgen Research Ltd, starting in August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of GCP and PV QA at Porterhouse Group Ltd from September 2018 to August 2021.

From February 2014 to April 2018, Martha served as the Director of Clinical & PV QA at AstraZeneca and MedImmune. Prior to this role, they held the position of Associate Director of GCP Quality Compliance at MedImmune - AstraZeneca from August 2013 to February 2014.

Martha's earlier work experience includes roles at Napp Pharmaceuticals, where they served as a CQA Manager from August 2006 to July 2013 and as a Senior Consultant CQA from May 2002 to July 2006. Martha also worked in the GCP & PV Compliance department at Alkermes from 1999 to 2002.

Throughout their career, Martha has gained extensive experience in quality assurance and compliance within the pharmaceutical industry.

Martha Byrne completed their BSc in Human Ecology at Bath Spa University from 1988 to 1991. In 1998 to 1999, they pursued Science Development (Biology, Physics & Chemistry) at Homerton College Cambridge. Additionally, in 1996, they attended Telford Management for Auditor ISO9000 auditor training. Later, in 2001 to 2003, they obtained a BARQA Postgraduate Diploma of Credit Research Quality Assurance from the University of East Anglia.
