Sharvari Deshpande

Machine Learning at Synapse

Sharvari Deshpande is a machine learning expert who has worked on implementing novel architectures, such as Capsule Networks. Sharvari obtained their undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2019. While at NC State, they worked as a graduate student and implemented Capsule Networks using Dynamic Routing with Python. Sharvari trained the network on the Google Street View House Number (SVHN) dataset and achieved a test accuracy of 88.4385%. Sharvari also compared the performance of Capsule Networks to CNNs and concluded that Capsule Networks are better at recognizing relative relationships between features. Prior to their work at NC State, Sharvari served as the Director of International Services for the Rotaract Club Of Bombay Juhu Beach where they worked to establish international club-to-club relationships and collaboratively worked on humanitarian projects.

Sharvari Deshpande has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Sardar Patel College Of Engineering. Sharvari also has certification from Coursera in Data Visualization with Python and Data Analysis with Python.
