Donald Montgomery

Donald Montgomery currently serves as SVP, Senior Tax Counsel at Synchrony, a position held since November 2020. Montgomery has an extensive background in tax management, with a previous tenure at GE Power from February 1998 to August 2020, where roles included Tax Director for Tax Planning & Americas and various global tax director positions across multiple divisions. Prior experience includes serving as Tax Director at GE Capital and as an Associate at Bell, Boyd & Lloyd. Earlier in the career, Montgomery worked as a Tax Consultant at Arthur Andersen & Co. Academically, Montgomery holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.), Summa Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting, both earned from Creighton University.
