Software QA Engineer at Syncro

MC Botha has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. MC began their career in 2005 as a Site Person in Charge at Man Recruiting, where they managed a team and oversaw technical and safety aspects on a London Underground work site. MC then worked at AfriGIS as a Surveyor, where they compiled points of interest data and mapped possible points of interest, contributing to the backbone of Google Maps in South Africa. In 2009, Botha joined Bundi Productions as a Live Sound Engineer before transitioning to Neotel as a Field Service Engineer. At Neotel, they installed and tested IP equipment for Fiber installations, troubleshooted hardware and software issues, and provided customer support. Botha then served as a Network Engineer at Snapt, where they specialized in network systems. In 2017, they briefly worked at Hillsong Church Cape Town, providing technical oversight. MC'smost recent role was at Syncro, where they worked as a Technical Support Engineer, responding to customer queries, researching and replicating issues, and creating bug reports for developers.

MC Botha attended Cape Audio College from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained a diploma in Sound Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Afrikaans High School from 2000 to 2004, but did not obtain a degree or study a specific field there. In July 2018, they obtained a certification in "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera.
