Jacob Gahamanyi

Jacob Gahamanyi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ICT policy, strategy, and product management. Currently serving as the Director for the Rwanda Office at Synergy International Systems since August 2019, Jacob has a history of impactful roles including Lead ICT Policy & Strategy Consultant at The Ministry of Youth and ICT, where a strategy for promoting local digital content was developed. As a Senior Product Owner at Irembo, Jacob led an Agile team that successfully digitized key services such as visas and passport systems. Previous roles include IT consultancy for the World Bank Group, where Jacob contributed to the development of various strategic plans and policies, notably for the SMART Africa initiative and the Open Data Policy for Rwanda. Academic credentials include a Master of Communications Management from the United Kingdom Telecommunication Academy, complemented by studies at the University of Rwanda and the National University of Rwanda.
