Naomi Pain

Naomi Pain has over 28 years of experience at Syngenta, where Naomi currently serves as the Head of Research Predictive Science, focusing on innovative predictive approaches that support product safety. Previous positions include Global Lead for CP Early Stage Research in Product Safety, Head of Fungicide Bioscience, and Head of Discovery Biology, where Naomi demonstrated technical leadership and management skills across various research activities. Naomi's expertise in agricultural disease control is complemented by a solid academic foundation, holding a PhD in Plant Pathology/Cell Biology and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Birmingham. Early career experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham further solidified their research background.
