Tiziano Balmelli

Tiziano Balmelli has had a variety of work experience in the field of laboratory operations. Tiziano began their career as the Scientific Director and President of the Board of Directors at Laboratorio di Diagnostica Molecolare from 1998 to 2007. Tiziano then moved on to work as the Responsabile Ricerca e Sviluppo at EOLAB, DipartimetnoMedicina di Laboratorio EOC from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, they became the Scientific Director at Bioanalitico-Synlab until 2012. Tiziano then joined SYNLAB Suisse SA, where they worked as the Laborleiter SYNLAB Luzern from 2012 to 2015, the Head of Operation D-CH bei Synlab Suisse Sa from 2015 to 2018, and finally the Director of Operation D-CH from 2019 to present.

Tiziano Balmelli began their education in 1986 at ETH Zürich, where they pursued a High School Diploma in Biochemie und Molekularbiologie. Tiziano completed this program in 1991. Following this, from 1992 to 1996, they attended the University of Bern, earning a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Microbiology. Their focus of study during this time was Microbiology. Subsequently, from 1996 to 2000, Tiziano Balmelli attended FAMH, where they obtained a Specialista FAMH in Medicina di Laboratorio, specializing in Clinical Chemistry and Medical Microbiology.
