Matt Reid

Matt Reid is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in tax accounting and reporting. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Tax Accounting & Reporting at Synovus since July 2020, Matt oversees a team of five tax specialists managing all aspects of direct tax, including SEC filings and compliance. Prior roles include Senior Manager of Global Tax Reporting & US-International Tax Compliance at BrandSafway, where Matt contributed to ASC 740 tax provisions, and Tax Manager at Roedl & Partner, focusing on international client engagements. Previous positions also encompass Senior Tax Accountant at MedAssets, Tax Consultant at EY, a legal internship at Deutsche Bundesbank, and Senior Accountant at CNO Financial Group. Matt holds an LL.M. in Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt, an MBA from Indiana University, and a BS in Management from Purdue University.
