Senior Insights Analyst

Location: New Delhi, India (or remote)

Syntasa, a leader in using big data processing, AI/ML, and cloud computing to understand digital behavior, is seeking a self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious insights analyst to help demonstrate the value of insights to our customers. This role requires a high level of critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and communication skills and an ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior (or Principal) Insights Analyst to join our dynamic team. This is a new role that is leading the creation of a new function within the company. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using the Syntasa platform, solutions, dashboards, and associated tools to explore topic areas and capture actionable insights that drive outcomes and performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to capture clear and compelling data-driven insights and stories in the form of ‘data journalism style’ documents, slide presentations, and videos.
  2. Present insights to external business stakeholders to demonstrate the value of Syntasa’s behavioral analytics solutions
  3. Create clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to understand business objectives and suggest better ways to gain insights.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in extracting valuable insights from complex datasets to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong proficiency in creating slides and written reports and the ability to present insights to business stakeholders
  2. Strong proficiency in identifying insights using data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
  3. Intellectually curious about exploring and learning different domains; previous projects have included women’s health, climate change, COVID vaccine hesitancy, and transportation equity, and future work will certainly expand into new topic areas.
  4. Social media and keyword research skills and experience with tools such as Brandwatch, Meltwater, Google Trends, SEMRush, Moz, or similar
  5. Bachelor's and University Degree in Statistics, Business, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, MBA, Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related role.
  6. Nice to have: Familiarity with SQL and data manipulation languages (e.g., Python, R) and big data technologies, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
  7. Must work at least six hours of overlap with normal business hours in the Eastern time zone in the United States.
